Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal has approved the creation of one post of Junior Engineer on contract basis at each block of the state under MGNREGA for its better implementation and to ensure making timely 100 per cent payment to unskilled workers.
Giving details, an official spokesman said that the posts will be filled through service provider under outsource policy and the qualification and eligibility criteria for recruitment will be three year diploma in Civil Engineering from an institute recognised by the Central or State Government with basic knowledge of computer application and two year experience in relevant field. He said that the role and responsibilities of Junior Engineer will be to provide technical assistance to Gram Panchayat in execution of developmental works under MGNERGS which are being executed by them as per
the instructions or guidelines issued by the department from time to time. The Junior Engineers will also prepare the estimates of the works and will provide the technical assistance to the gram panchayats in their execution, supervision and preparation of records including measurement books within prescribed time limit as per the instructions of the state and central
