Sh. Davesh Moudgil, Mayor of Chandigarh on Saturday unveiled the plaque to lay the foundation stone of the Civil Dispensary in Sector 39, Chandigarh in presence of Smt. Gurbax Rawat, area councillor. He also started the work after performing bhoomi pujan.
Speaking on the occasion after laying the foundation Stone, the Mayor said that the Municipal Corporation is providing better facilities for the citizens of Chandigarh day by day near to their doorsteps. He said that the MCC is also improving and upgrading the existing infrastructure facilities in the sector of Primary Health and providing new dispensaries in other areas also. He said that people of the area will have primary health services nearby their doorsteps with the provision of this dispensary.
Smt. Gurbax Rawat said that the dispensary was a long pending demand of the area residents and this project takes 3 years to start as she followed it dedicatedly to make this possible. While briefing about the project, Sh. Manoj Bansal, Chief Engineer said that the dispensary in sector 39 will be spread in plot area of 27965 Sw. ft. whereas ground floor covered area of the building is about 7387 Sqft and 6000 Sqft. Area for parking. A roughly expenditure to the tune of about 176 lacs will be incurred in construction of the ground floor of this building in the first phase and would be completed within one and half year time period.
