Management students organise cultural fiesta

DW BUREAU / PATIALA:┬áThe MBA Students of School of Management Studies of Punjabi University organised a cultural programme `Aagaz ÔÇô 2016ÔÇÖ in the university campus.

The School of Management Studies at Punjabi University is the oldest management department in this region. Every year around 240 MBA students pass out from the prestigious business school of Punjabi University. The department offers MBA program in IT, IB, Operations, Marketing, Finance and HR specialisation. The guests of honour of the function were Dr GS Batra [HOD, School of Management Studies, along with the chief guest Dr PK Mishra, former Vice-Chancellor, Devi Ahliya University, Indore. Dr GS Batra inaugurated the cultural programme and appreciated the efforts of the students in organizing the cultural programme. He said that management qualities are developed through proper planning and organizing of various management events.

Dr PK Mishra gave a positive start to the function by some motivational lines from the vedic scripture on importance of duty in life. The students were inspired by the presence of Dr GS Batra and Dr PK Mishra. The student organising team was headed by Alok Bharti, Neetu Kaplas, Ishtpreet Kaur, and Jashan Deep Singh. The function organised various cultural events like Bhangra, Giddha, Folk Singing, Bhand etc. The lime light of the event was modelling by the students. Around 20 students from MBA first year participated in modelling for six titles. The judging panel consisted of the departmentÔÇÖs faculty, Dr Rajwinder Singh, DrSatinderKumar, Tanvir, Shikhil and Gurjeet.
