Haryana Development and Panchayats Minister O P Dhankar on Wednesday said after setting an example of educated Panchayats in the state, Haryana has now taken an initiative towards making the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) Saksham and Samarth to realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of building a new nation by 2022 through ‘Sankalp Se Sidhi’.
Dhankar said in the same series a Sammelan of representatives of PRIs would be organized in Bhiwani from October 7 to 9 and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar would be the chief guest.
Divulging the details, he said while Sammelan on Livelihood Mission would be held on October 7, Sammelan on Garvit would be organised on October 8. A sammelan of Sarpanches and representatives of Block Samitis and Zila Parishads would be organised on October 9.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for building a new India by the year 2022. The people of the state are inspired with this resolve of the Prime Minister and they would definitely make it a success, he added.
He said earlier also the Prime Minister had made a clarion call to save daughters through the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Programme which he launched at national level from Panipat on January 22, 2015. He said that the people of the state has supplemented the efforts of the government in this direction and a result of this the sex ratio in the state has been improved considerably. Dhankar said being a Development and anchayats Minister, his aim is to bring an improvement in the living standard in rural Haryana. It has been decided to give each village, star of different colours in recognition of distinguished work done by them in various fields including cleanliness, Open Defecation free, good governance and 24 hour electricity.
