Haryana Minister of State for Cooperation Manish Kumar Grover has said no body can break the unity of Haryana people and if anyone made an attempt, they would give him a befitting reply.
Mr Grover, who was addressing a press conference here today, was answering a question regarding the increasing activities related to the Aarakshan Andolan in the state. “The 2.5 crore people of the state want to live together. If anyone would try to break them on any issue, they would give him a befitting reply”, he said.
Replying to a question regarding the role of opposition in the ensuing Vidhan Sabha session, the Minister said in a democracy both opposition and ruling parties had their roles to play. The state government would present an account of the development works that had been undertaken during its tenure of about four years. The Opposition has no issues to rake up and the Indian National Lok Dal has been playing foul on the Satluj Yamuna Link (SYL) issue. Sometimes, party leaders talk about digging the canal and sometime they talk about Jail Bharo Andolan, but the Supreme Court has delivered verdict in favour of Haryana during the tenure of present government.
Asked to comment on the losses of cooperative banks, Mr Grover said persons associated with different political parties had taken loans. Various irregularities have come to light into which a departmental inquiry is being conducted, he added.
