The Haryana government on Friday appointed Ashwin Johar as the Chairman of the Foreign Investment and NRI Cell.
Johar’+ char(39) +’s duties will include overseeing and coordinating all foreign programmes, including visits of delegations from Haryana to various countries, and following-up MoUs signed by the state government, an official release said here.Similarly, he will work to promote trade and investment through business, economic and commercial diplomacy, and also through investment forums, seminars and policy discussions, it said. Johar’+ char(39) +’s work will also include networking with Non- Resident Haryanavi’+ char(39) +’s to promote investment in the state, through industrial and philanthropic activities, the release said. It said Johar, who has been the global coordinator of the Punjab and Haryana diaspora of the BJP, would actively participate in the formulation and implantation of policies and programmes vis-à-vis external cultural relations of Haryana.
