DW Bureau / Chandigarh: The Punjab government on Monday evening ordered a major reshuffle in police department thereby ordering transferring and posting of as many as 52 police officers including those in ranks of Director General of Police, Additional DGP, Commissioner of Police (CP) and Senior Superintendent of Police in 13 police districts. Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that the file pertaining to transfers has cleared by the Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. The transfers that was long overdue in wake of ensuing 2017 polls vis-a-vis “overstay” of various police officers at same place and post.
Among the DGP rank officers, while Hardeep Singh Dhillon is Director General of Police (DGP) Law and Order , Mohammed Mustafa and R P Singh have been posted Director General , Punjab State Human Rights Commission and DGP Punjab Police Housing Corporation.
ADGP MK Tiwari has be shifted as ADGP Prisons, BK Uppal is ADGP Human Resource Development with additional charge of ADGP Welfare and Litigation. IGP State Crime Record Bureau (Crime Wing) BK Bawa is new ADGP Security and BK Garg is ADGP POWERCOM. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kuldeep Singh is new Additional Director Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Police Academy in Phillaur. On return from leave Anita Punj has been posted IGP Personnel with Additional Charge of IGP Training. Another IG rank officer B Chandra Shekhar, who was posted as IG EOW in Vigilance Bureau is new IGP of State Crime Record Bureau (Crime Wing). IGP Patiala Zone Naunihal Singh has been replaced by ParamRaj Singh Umranangal with Naunihal Singh going as IGP Law and Order II.
Among the shifted Commissioner of police while IGP Jalandhar Range Arpit Shukla is new Commissioner of Police (CP) Jalandhar, Jatinder Singh Aulakh and Amar Singh Chahal (DIG Ferozepur Range) has been posted Commissioners of Police in Ludhiana and Amritsar respectively. Yurinder Singh, the incumbent CP Jalandhar goes as DIG Ferozepur range. Border Range IGP Lok Nath is new IGP Jalandhar Range. The commisonerats of Ludhiana Jalandhar and Amritsar have also got DCPs with Dhruman H Nimbale, Harjeet Singh, J Elanchezian getting elevated to the posts.
Incumbent DCPs of Amritsar and Jalandhar Harpreet Singh and Sandeep Sharma have been posted AIG Crime in Chandigarh and Commandant 3rd battalion CDO in Mohali.
As per the orders, Patil K Baliram is new SSP Vigilance Bureau Amritsar Range with incumbent Parambir Singh Parmar going as Counter intelligence AIG in Amritsar. Similarly, Alka Meena with current posting as ADCP Jalandhar is new SSP Vigilance Bureau Jalandhar Range.
Shive Kumar Verma DIG Jalandhar range is new DIG Vigilance Bureau .
Among the transferred SSPs while Ferozepur SSP Hardial Singh Mann has been posted AIG Crime in Chandigarh, Manminder Singh is new SSP Ferozepur. While SSP Faridkot Sukhminder Singh Mann goes as AIG SSOC in Amritsar, Narinder Bhargav is new SSP Fazilka.
Khanna SSP Gurpreet Singh Gill goes as SSP Sri Muktsar Sahib thereby replacing Kuldeep Singh , who is new SSP Hoshiarpur. Also SP Headquarter Gurdaspur Jagdeep Singh has been elevated as SSP Gurdaspur with incumbent Gurpreet Singh Toor going as SSP Barnala. While SSP Pathankot Ravinder Bakshi has been posted Commandant 3rd IRB in Ludhiana, Barnala SSP Opinderjeet Singh Ghuman is new SSP of Jagroan with incumbent Ravcharan Singh Brar getting posted as Commandant 6th IRB Ladha Kothi , in Sangrur.
Similarly while Jaspreet Singh has been named new SSP Faridkot, Satinder Singh , SSP VB Jalandhar Range goes as SSP Khanna.
Moga SSP Mukhwinder Singh has been trasnfererd as SSP Mansa , Jatinder Singh Khaira , SSP Fatehgarh Sahib is new AIG Provisioning in Chandigarh. Also SP Headquarters Moga H S Pannu has been elevated as SSP Moga.
As per the orders issued late Monday evening , SSP Mansa Raghubir Singh has been posted Commandant 5th IRB in Amritsar, Balwinder Singh Commandant 82nd Battalion in PAP Chandigarh is new AIG Traffic Chandigarh.
In Ludhiana Rupinder Singh(SSP VB Ludhiana Range) and Sandeep Goyal( AIG VB EOW Ludhiana) have also been ordred to swap their place of postings .
